Carey has been a wonderful agent to work with. We knew very little about Hilton Head but wanted to look for a vacation home there because of the ease of travel for us and for our geographically dispersed family members. Carey found great homes for us to look at. He patiently educated us on the various areas of the island. He can quickly assess any upgrades the homes need and ballpark the price of those changes for us. He even provides us data on the processes for renting our home out when we are not using it ourselves and the amount of income we can expect from the rental. Carey understands that this is a big (and emotional) purchase for us. He keeps our wants and needs in balance with our budget and gives us realistic data to work with in our decision making process. We will be returning to Hilton Head next week to continue our search for the ideal home. We may make a purchase next week, or it may take a 3rd trip to the island to make our final decision. Carey went out of his way to facilitate the purchase of our villa. He recommended closing attorneys, insurance agents, suggested material lists for remodeling and contractors. Within three weeks we had closed on the property, had it insured and had a contract for remodeling. In addition to all the above, he provided remodeling suggestions, recommended decorating ideas and furniture purchases. We lived hundreds of miles away and he acted as ‘our eyes’ for the closing, remodeling inspections and furniture deliveries.
